The rooms which are home to Jakes have been used for many things over the years, the dancefloor used to be a record shop, which seems appropriate, the toilets used to be Oporto's office, and the bar used to be the corner of the carpark where the hotdog wagon would park of a weekend. Anyway that all changed on September 17th 2004 when we first opened our doors to the good folk of Leeds. The mix of friendly staff, well made cocktails and resaonably priced steak was an instant hit.

People often tell us they can´t remember what Call Lane was like before Jakes arrived, which we take as a compliment. Recently we have installed a new bar top and given the old place a lick of paint and a new floor. Not to mention a brand new cocktail list.
